In the first draft, there were three stanzas on the subject on the young man carbuncular boasting about his prowess with women but they are crossed through by Pound's pen. He wrote "Personal" in the margin, meaning that was too much about the young man, and evidently Eliot agreed with him, since they do not appear in any form in the final draft.
